If someone describes a cute white cat with a ribbon on its left ear, Hello Kitty immediately comes to mind. Who is not familiar with this adorable feline character from Japan? Hello Kitty accessories and so many other merchandises are available worldwide. From candies to purses and notebooks, to amusement parks, museums and even jet planes, actually, in almost everything imaginable, Hello Kitty is there.

It all started with the Japanese seller of rubber sandals, Shintaru Tsuji. He noticed that more people prefer sandals with cute designs so he hired a number of cartoonists, and Sanrio was born. After some time, one of the cartoonists, Yuko Shimizu created the famous Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty accessories and other items come with the face of Hello Kitty without a mouth. It was said that Hello Kitty was created without a mouth so people can relate to her regardless of the emotion. A person can be sad or happy and still be able to enjoy being with Hello Kitty.

As a character, Hello Kitty was said to be born on November 1 in the suburbs of London, England. Her real name is Kitty White, with height described as five apples and weight as three apples. It was said that Kitty is a bright and kind girl who collects cute things. Her favourite subjects at school are English, music and art. Kitty was also said to enjoy baking cookies and loves her moms homemade apple pie. Other members of the White family are Kittys twin sister Mimi, their mom Mama Mary, dad Papa George and Grandpa Anthony and Grandma Margaret. Kitty also has a childhood friend named Daniel Starr who moved to another place. Charmmy Kitty is the pet of Hello Kitty and in her necklace lays the key to the jewellery box of Hello Kitty.

The first appearance of Hello Kitty on an item was on a vinyl coin purse in 1974. Two years after, the character was brought to the United States and thus the fame of Hello Kitty has been enjoyed throughout the world. Hello Kitty accessories range from all kinds of jewelries including rings, bracelets, necklaces and so much more. There are also some jewelry stores that offer genuine precious stones and diamonds on Hello Kitty accessories and designed items. Other merchandises with the Hello Kitty designs are dolls, greeting cards, stickers, pen sets, apparels, etc. On technology and electronics, Hello Kitty is also present. One can find laptops, computer equipments, toasters, massagers, televisions, radios, mp3 players, Hello Kitty games and a whole lot more, designed with Hello Kitty. Even cars, motorcycles, scooters and home appliances are sometimes designed with Hello Kittys adorable and cute image. There is even an Airbus A330-200, also called the Hello Kitty Jet, a commercial passenger jet airliner associated with EVA Airways in Taiwan.

In addition, various Hello Kitty museums are scattered on various parts of the world. Two official Hello Kitty themed parks are licensed by Sanrio, the Harmonyland, in the town of Hiji at Oita Japan and the Sanrio Puroland at the Tama New Town on Tokyo, Japan. In 2009, the Bank of America also released checking accounts with Hello Kitty designed cheques and Visa debit card. MasterCard on the other hand, had been releasing Hello Kitty debit cards since 2004. There are also various Hello Kitty themed establishments and video games.

Hello Kitty for everyone

Hello Kitty has been the favourite character of most little girls, and even on some teenagers and adults. Ladies, even celebrities can be seen wearing Hello Kitty accessories, Hello Kitty clothes, Hello Kitty watches and so much more. Hello Kitty accessories and other items would also go as amazing gifts for anyone, especially for people who collects them. Serious collectors would buy anything with a Hello Kitty design on it. Some people even have a Hello Kitty room in their houses, where they store several Hello Kitty designed items and rare finds.
